Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

Why We Offer Specials in the First Place
Houston is a humid city, and that matters for chimneys. Moisture in the air gets into flue liners, rusts dampers, and causes creosote to set up harder on the flue walls than it does in drier climates. A lot of chimneys we inspect here are used maybe two or three months out of the year, and that means problems have a long time to develop quietly. The specials above are designed to make it easier for Houston families to get a professional look at their chimney before the stretch of nights when they actually need it.
We’d rather sweep a chimney now than repair a liner later, and the offers above reflect that. They’re not a trick to get a technician in the door and then sell you something else. They’re a straight discount on the exact service described, with the same written-price guarantee we give everyone.

AfterWhat a Chimney Sweep Actually Costs in Houston
Most standard chimney sweeps in the Houston area run between $200 and $350, depending on the height of the flue, how much creosote has built up, and whether there are any obstructions like a nest or a dead bird in the smoke chamber. Inspections with a camera report typically run between $150 and $250 as a standalone service. Those are honest ranges, and you’ll never get a surprise number from us at the door. Your written price comes first, and it’s the same price whether you use an offer or not.
If we do recommend repairs, you’ll see the photos we took in the flue before you decide anything. Nothing gets recommended without camera evidence, and we’ll tell you plainly if something can safely wait a season or two. Danny Cortes built this business on the idea that Houston homeowners deserve to see the proof with their own eyes before they spend a dollar on a liner or a new damper.
Do You Really Need a Chimney Sweep Every Year?
For most Houston homes, an annual inspection is enough, with a sweep done as needed based on how often you burn. If you use your fireplace more than two or three times a week during the winter, you’ll probably want a sweep every year. If it’s more of an occasional thing, a sweep every other year might do it. The only way to know for sure is to look at the flue, which is why our inspection offer includes a camera report you can keep. Call (254) 978-7413 and we’ll help you figure out the right cadence for your house.
What Happens If I Skip a Sweep?
Creosote builds up inside the flue over time, and it’s the usual thing that catches fire when a chimney fire starts. Moisture from Houston’s air makes the problem worse, because it helps creosote harden and cling to the flue walls. Even without a fire, a blocked or narrowed flue means carbon monoxide can back up into the living space instead of venting out the top. A once-a-year inspection catches small problems before they become big ones, and a sweep when you need it keeps the air in your home exactly where it belongs. Call (254) 978-7413 to get on the schedule, and mention one of the offers above to keep the price even lower.
